HUAN ZHU GE GE SUMMARY PART 1
It was the time of the Qing Dynasty. Zi Wei and her servant girl - Jin Suo travelled far from Jiang Nan to Beijing in search for Zi Wei's long lost father. What was unbelievable and surprising was that Zi Wei's father was not a person of normal status....he was the emporer of China - he was Qian Long
Some years ago when Qian Long was travelling around China, he met Xia Yu He. Xia Zi Wei was the daughter of Xia Yu He. Qian Long left with Yu He a scroll of painting and a fan for memory and promised that he would wed Yu He as soon as he could. Time passed quickly and he never came for her...I was probably because the little fate they had..little Zi Wei slowly grew into a fine eighteen years old lady. She never knew her father until before her mother died when she told her of her birth story.
Zi Wei and Jin Suo had much trouble in BeiJing. It was hard enough to get into the palace, not to say the possiblity of anyone believing their story even if they did get in.
As everything was going wrong for them, they met Xiao Yan Zi, a thief and became good friends with her. As time passed, the girls became closer and Zi Wei told Xiao Yan Zi of her birth story. The clever thief found ways to get near the emperor and finally suceeded but he mistaken her instead of Zi Wei as his daughter, so then a thief became a princess - Huan Zhu Ge Ge.
One day..Xiao Yan Zi was seen on the street of Beijing with the Emperor by Zi Wei and Jin Suo. Zi Wei couldn't believe that her bestfriend had betrayed her and is now a gege. She didn't know that at the time, Xiao yan Zi was also in pain. Zi Wei had a mental break down and started chasing Xiao Yan Zi's horse carriage on the dusty road, she was thought to be wanting to harm the emperor and his daughter so was abused by many soldiers. Er kang saved her.
It was love at first sight for Er Kang and after hearing her story, he decided to keep her safe in his home.
XiaoYan Zi was feeling bored in the palace already. The queen already hated her and if it was not for the kind Wu A Ge who protected her all he could, she wouldn't have been so safe.
Er Kang and Er Tai ( Er Kang's brother ) often visited Wu A Ge in the palace and soon found out that Xiao Yan Zi has not yet forgotten her outside palace friend. So they sent Zi Wei and Jin Suo into the palace as if they were servant girls for the gege.
The Emperor started liking Zi Wei too. Saiya, a Tibetan princess comes to Beijing and Qian Long was to choose a husband for her. He didn't know of the love story that's happening between Er Kang and Zi Wei so therefore chose Er Kang as the husband. Er Kang decided that the situation was too out of control and therefore told Qian Long the truth.
Lying to the Emperor was to be severely pusnished at the time (sometimes as severe as deathes). All the people involved in this lie was to die....including Zi Wei and Xiao Yan Zi but in the end Qian Long gave up for he loved both girls dearly. He engaged Xiao Yan Zi to Wu A Ge and gave her the name Huan Zhu Jun Zhu and engaged Zi Wei to Er Kang and gave her the name Mingg Zhu Ge Ge. Saiya was to wed Er Tai for she fell for him and everyone lived happily ever after.
